DJI’s new Mavic Mini drone bypasses the labelling requirements for unmanned aerial systems. We at B&W International supply the appropriate drone case.
According to §19 (3) of the German Air Traffic Licensing Regulations (LuftVZO), the owner of a model aircraft or unmanned aerial vehicle with a take-off mass of more than 0.25 kg must affix his name and address in permanent and fireproof lettering to the aircraft in a visible place before first operation.
DJI circumvents this labelling requirement with the DJI Mavic Mini, available since November 2019, because the drone weighs 249 grams including battery. In principle, the Mavic Mini is thus legally equivalent to a toy drone. Of course, it is much better equipped, as the integrated camera can record videos in 2.7K resolution with 30 FPS. The integrated gimbal ensures good image stabilization.
Due to its lightweight construction, this mini drone requires particularly safe transport. Therefore we at B&W International offer our outdoor case type 1000 with a matching inlay for the drone. The type 1000 DJI Mavic Mini offers space for a DJI Mavic with Fly More Combo despite its small size. The drone case has compartments for the drone, remote control, two-way charging station, USB charger, two joysticks and propeller. A universal compartment under the remote control completes the offer. With a separate foam insert, the standard version of the drone including two batteries can also be transported safely.
With its external dimensions of only 270 x 215 x 105 mm, the case requires little storage space and can be carried comfortably with an optional shoulder strap. Of course, the transport case offers all the advantages of B&W’s outdoor.cases. It is sturdy, dust and waterproof to IP67 and certified to STANAG 4280, DEF STAN 81-41 and ATA 300. Thanks to the two eyelets for padlocks (Ø 4.5 mm) the threat is also protected from unauthorized persons.
As usual for type 1000, the transport case is available in black, grey, yellow and orange.
