B&W International was again at the Eurobike 2018 from July 8th to July 10th.
At the 27th edition of the world’s largest bicycle fair, 1,400 exhibitors from 96 countries presented their products and services. A new trade fair concept was tested this year. As part of this Retail First approach, the trade fair was shortened to three days and the public day was cancelled. This caused a drop in the number of visitors to 37,379 (2017: 42,590 visitors), but strengthened the professional exchange at the exhibition stands.
The prototype of the newly developed bike.bag II was particularly well received at our stand A2-314 in hall A2. This further development of the proven bike.bag is a combination of bag and hard shell. The sturdy bottom tray made of ABS merges into a bag made of padded ripstop polymer. The bag can also be folded out to form a service mat, making it easier to assemble and transport bicycles. The bike.bag II is suitable for the transport of road bikes, triathlon bikes and mountain bikes up to 29″. The four stable castors, two of which can be freely rotated through 360°, make the bike.bag II easy to manoeuvre even in confined spaces.
Another eye-catcher was the B3 Bag, because the large pannier with trolley system is especially user-friendly. It can be easily attached from a bicycle, making it the ideal companion for shopping and travelling.
As every year, Eurobike was an opportunity to exchange new products, ideas and inspiration with dealers and customers. We incorporate this valuable feedback into the consistent further development of our products.
We are looking forward to the next issue of Eurobike, which will be conceptually more strongly oriented towards the past years. The 28th Eurobike will take place from 4 to 7 September 2019. We particularly welcome the re-launched public day, so that the fair will offer a good balance between trade visitors and consumers.
